The Animated Series' Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities residing in the afterlife, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about the new season," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
